Application Process for Current 8th Grade Students

**NOTE** Our Class of 2025 is currently at capacity and registration is closed.  All students beginning or completing the application process at this time are being considered for our wait pool only.  The wait pool is not ranked.  Students who are accepted to AHA must click "I Accept" on the decision tab of their applicant portal.  As new spots become available, families will be notified via email and registration will continue on a first come, first served basis until all new spots are filled.

We are excited you are considering AHA and look forward to guiding you through our Application Process. We recognize that the last few months of school were a very challenging time for many students and want to assure you that each applicant will be reviewed individually and holistically.

While not mandatory, in addition to the requirements below, we are happy to review supplemental information such as: recommendations from principals, guidance counselors and/or 7th grade teachers, final transcripts/standardized test scores from 6th grade, personal statements from students.

1. Complete the AHA Online Admissions Application
To submit an application, a parent/guardian will be required to create an account with a unique username and password to access our online community and Applicant Portal. Once created, students and parents can complete the application, upload transcripts, view checklist due dates and check on the status of their application.

2. Upload School Transcripts and Standardized Test Scores
Parents/Guardians must upload transcripts through the checklist in their Applicant Portal.  Parents/guardians should only request unofficial transcripts be released to them once 1st quarter/trimester grades of the current school year are available. They may then be uploaded in a single document with any previous years to the checklist tab. Hard copy/email is not accepted.

3. Register for and take the Upper Level SSAT
Along with transcripts and optional supplemental materials, applicants are reviewed individually while also assessing the academic needs of our incoming class as a whole. Our faculty work diligently each year to review curriculum and offer optional summer skills courses that meet the needs of varying student strengths. The SSAT is a standardized test used by independent schools worldwide. Testing accommodations approved by the Enrollment Management Association are for the SSAT only and may differ from academic accommodations available to students at Academy of the Holy Angels.

International students whose native language is not English are required to submit English language proficiency test scores from the TOEFL exam (Test of English as a Foreign Language). These scores are in addition to the requirements outlined above.
