Application Process – Current 8th Grade Students Only

 

All steps below must be completed no later than December 1, 2019. Students who complete any part of the application process after the posted deadlines may be considered on a rolling basis.

  1. Submit the AHA Online Admissions Application

    We encourage you to submit your application early to begin your online admissions file. To submit a new application, all students will be required to create an account with a unique username and password. This will create your online admissions file where you can check on the status of your application. A new account must be created for each applicant. Upon submitting your application, you will receive an email with a link to register for the November SSAT Flex Test at AHA.

  2. Complete your School Visit (Angel for the Day)
    All prospective students are required to complete one of AHA’s shadow visit opportunities. Students who completed their Angel for the Day visit in 7th grade have met this requirement.  
  3. Submit School Transcripts and Standardized Test Scores
    Applicants must download and print the AHA Records Request Form. Parents should complete the first section of this form before submitting it to their daughter's eighth grade teacher, counselor, or principal. Only official transcripts from the school will be accepted. Transcripts must include grades from at least one marking period from the current academic year and grades from two years prior, along with attendance records and a grading key.

    *Schools working on a trimester MUST submit mid-trimester/progress report grades to date.

    **Applicants currently in 8th grade are not required to submit teacher recommendations or essays.

  4. Take AHA’s Entrance Exam – SSAT (Secondary School Admissions Test) 
    Please contact the Admissions Office to schedule a testing date for the SSAT


SSAT Testing Accommodations
Students who require testing accommodations must be approved by the Enrollment Management Association prior to registering for an exam (standard or flex). The approval process is generally 2 weeks from the time accommodation documentation is submitted.

Please review the Testing Accommodation Guide for Students. You must also e-mail the Admissions Office at admissions@holyangels.org once your accommodations have been approved.

PLEASE NOTE - The SSAT is a standardized test used by independent schools worldwide. Testing Accommodations approved by the Enrollment Management Association are for the SSAT only and may differ from Academic Accommodations available to students at Academy of the Holy Angels.
