AHA Receives Nine METRO nominations

Academy of the Holy Angels is pleased to announce that its spring 2015 production of “The Drowsy Chaperone” has been nominated for nine Metropolitan High School Theater Awards. Established in 1998, the High School Theater Awards, also known as Metros, recognize talented actors, musicians, designers and directors of high school musical productions. Judges evaluate entrants from high schools in Bergen County, New Jersey and Rockland, Putnam and Westchester counties in New York during the spring musical season. Awards will be handed out on June 1st at Archbishop Stepinac High School in White Plains, NY.
Holy Angels received nominations in the following nine categories: Actress in A Leading Role, Heather Mueger (Janet Van de Graff); Acting Performance Male, Ryan Daniel Doran (Man in Chair); Comic Performance, Nick Beringer (Adolpho); Dance Performance, Trey Plutnicki (Robert Martin); Lobby Display, Emily Loftus, Michaela Mudrick and Risako Arcari; Direction, Katie McSherry; Choreography, Ariane Ryan; Costume Design, Ruth Morley. The production was also nominated in the Chorus category.
