DEMAREST, NJ — For the first time in the school's history, Academy of Holy Angels’ Varsity Girls’ Tennis team has been named Bergen County high school tennis champions, beating out rival Ridgewood.
Three of Holy Angels’ single players advanced to the semi-finals at Old Tappan High School this weekend. Senior Adrianne Alfonso won the individual title at 2nd singles, with the win in the championship match “sealing the deal” for the Holy Angels. After clinching the Bergen County title, the team continues onto the State Team Tournament beginning the week of October 7th.
