Academy of the Holy Angels is thrilled to announce that Senior Kayla Quigley, who is from Emerson, was selected to receive the 2014 Brian Piccolo Award. This honor is presented annually to a male and female high school scholar-athlete of Italian ancestry who models the ideals of Brian Piccolo. The Brian Piccolo Award is sponsored by The St. Joseph Regional High School Chapter of UNICO National, a nationwide service organization which promotes Italian-American heritage and supports cultural, educational and community causes. AHA Athletic Director Mrs. Patti Gorsuch wrote about Kayla, “She is an outstanding student; I believe that she demonstrates all of the qualities of a hard-working and devoted athlete. Her work ethic and determination to be the very best at what she does, has proven to be an inspiration to her teammates and classmates.”
