AHA Welcomes the Class of 2024 to Accepted Students Night

Demarest, NJ: The Class of 2024 is ready to fly! Well over 200 future freshmen were invited to this month’s Accepted Students Night at the Academy of the Holy Angels. This well-attended event included dinner for students and their families, community-building activities for the students, and important information about life at Holy Angels.

Incoming Angels learned more about transportation, college and academic counseling, athletic opportunities, and more. Members of the administrative and admissions teams, and multiple Angel Ambassadors welcomed guests and answered their questions. After dinner, parents gathered for a formal presentation, while their daughters enjoyed activities in the gym.

Members of the Class of 2024 received goodie bags and custom-made cookies in the shape of angel wings. Incoming students also had their pictures taken under the official “2024” balloon arch. Visitors stopped by the school store for official AHA gear, and purchased lawn signs that celebrate their acceptance into the Holy Angels family.

Founded by the School Sisters of Notre Dame in 1879, the Academy of the Holy Angels is the oldest private girls’ school in Bergen County. While AHA is steeped in Catholic tradition, this prestigious high school serves young women from a broad spectrum of cultural and religious backgrounds. Over time, thousands of women have passed through AHA’s portals. Many go on to study at some of the nation’s best universities, earning high-ranking positions in medicine, government, law, education, public service, business, arts, and athletics. The Academy’s current leaders continue to further the SSND mission to provide each student with the tools she needs to reach the fullness of her potential—spiritually, intellectually, socially, and physically, by offering a first-rate education in a nurturing environment where equal importance is placed on academic excellence, character development, moral integrity, and service to others.
