AHA’s April 7 Food Truck Festival Is the Hottest Ticket in Town

Demarest, NJ: The hottest ticket in town is your admission stub to the Fifth Annual Food Truck Festival. Organized by Angels in the Arts, this Sunday, April 7th, event will be held from 12 to 4 p.m. on the grounds of the Academy of the Holy Angels at 315 Hillside Avenue in Demarest. Arrive hungry and prepare to indulge in hand-crafted confections and top-notch entertainment.

Tickets are just $5 per person, and will be sold at the event. Children under age seven will be admitted free of charge, but must have tickets to enter the festival.

Proceeds from the festival support the arts programs at Holy Angels and scholarships for Academy graduates who pursue careers in the visual and performing arts.

This year, you’ll have a chance to sample treats from Angry Archie’s, Ben & Jerry’s, Cannoli Café, Empanada Mania, Little Bite of Paradise, Ms. Fu’s Yummy Food Truck, PhillyFry, and Waffles De Lys as you stroll through the student art show.

You’ll immediately see why our students continue to earn regional and national accolades for their painting, photography, drawing/illustration, jewelry, and digital art.

See the cast of “Once Upon a Mattress” in a special appearance, and be delighted by our celebrated student vocalists, musicians, and dancers – including our four-time national champion AHA Varsity Dance Team. You will also enjoy performances by students from Academy-based groups and individuals from local schools and studios, music by DJ John Hatcher, crafts, and face-painting.

Bring the family and discover why this festival continues to be one of the season’s best crowd-pleasers!

AITA is a parent-run association whose members promote AHA’s many art-related events, including plays, concerts, and art shows. During the annual Arts Appreciation Dinner, AITA recognizes graduating seniors who have been involved in the arts, and presents the Angel Award, a scholarship that honors one graduate who has made outstanding contributions to the Academy’s arts programs. AITA also hosts many other events for AHA’s artists and performers.

Founded by the School Sisters of Notre Dame in 1879, the Academy of the Holy Angels is the oldest private girls’ school in Bergen County. While AHA is steeped in Catholic tradition, this prestigious high school serves young women from a broad spectrum of cultural and religious backgrounds. Over time, thousands of women have passed through AHA’s portals. Many go on to study at some of the nation’s best universities, earning high-ranking positions in medicine, government, law, education, public service, business, arts, and athletics. The Academy’s current leaders continue to further the SSND mission to provide each student with the tools she needs to reach the fullness of her potential—spiritually, intellectually, socially, and physically, by offering a first-rate education in a nurturing environment where equal importance is placed on academic excellence, character development, moral integrity, and service to others.
