Catholic Schools Week to Include Parental Visits, Alumna Speaker

Demarest, NJ: Opportunities will abound during Catholic Schools Week, which will be held January 30 through February 3 at the Academy of the Holy Angels.

As AHA marks this annual celebration of Catholic education, parents and guardians of current students will be invited to observe their daughters at work. In some classrooms, guests may be asked to engage in the discussion.
During the February 3 National Honor Society Assembly, students will be treated to a keynote speech by AHA alumna Vanessa Arteaga Rissetto, MS, RD, CDN.

Rissetto, who is a member of the AHA Class of 1996, holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Fordham University and a master’s degree in marketing from New York University. She spent a decade in marketing, media, and business development before she decided to delve into her interest in nutrition. In addition to becoming a Registered Dietitian and Nutritionist, Rissetto earned certification in adult weight management and lactation.

After serving as a Senior Dietitian at Mount Sinai Hospital, Rissetto joined the team at PromptCare, where she specializes in nutrition support for patients in home care.

Rissetto is also an instructor in New York University’s RD program. Her published works include her articles about patients with bariatric issues.

Since 1879, thousands of women have passed through the portals of Academy of the Holy Angels high school, the oldest private girls’ school in New Jersey. Many go on to study at some of the nation’s best universities, earning high-ranking positions in medicine, government, law, education, public service, business, arts and athletics. Our goal is to provide each girl with the tools she needs to reach the fullness of her potential—spiritually, intellectually, socially and physically, by offering a first –rate education in a nurturing environment where equal importance is placed on academic excellence, character development, moral integrity and giving service to others.
