National Honor Society Receives 85 Teen Scholars from AHA

Demarest, NJ: On May 3rd, 85 students from the Academy of the Holy Angels were inducted into the Regina Angelorum Chapter of the National Honor Society.

In order to be eligible for NHS membership, high school juniors and seniors must demonstrate excellent scholarship, service, leadership, and character. In addition, they must prove themselves to be honest, reliable, respectful, resourceful, able to solve problems, and willing to share their ideas.

NHS members are also required to assist the school and the greater community through individual and chapter-run service projects.

Founded by the School Sisters of Notre Dame in 1879, the Academy of the Holy Angels is the oldest private girls’ school in Bergen County. While AHA is steeped in Catholic tradition, this prestigious high school serves young women from a broad spectrum of cultural and religious backgrounds. Over time, thousands of women have passed through AHA’s portals.
