Fine and Performing Arts Honor Societies

National Art Honor Society  

NAHS is designed specifically for high school students. In 1978, the National Art Education Association began the National Art Honor Society program to inspire and recognize students who have shown an outstanding ability and interest in art. The NAHS strives to aid members in attaining the highest standards in art scholarship, character, and service, and to bring art education to the attention of the school and community.

The AHA chapter of the NAHS is a service-driven organization which recognizes those students in grades 11 or 12 who achieve at a high level in both art and academics. NAHS students participate in a number of service activities, including curating and installing the winter and spring Art Shows at Holy Angels. 

International Thespian Honor Society

The International Thespian Society (ITS) is the Educational Theatre Association’s student honorary organization. ITS recognizes the achievements of high school and middle school theatre students. Since 1929, EdTA has inducted more than 2 million Thespians into ITS. That number continues to grow, with more than 36,000 students from around the country being inducted each year. National Tri-M Music Honor Society 

The Tri-M Music Honor Society is the international music honor society for middle/junior high and high school students. It is designed to recognize students for their academic and musical achievements, reward them for their accomplishments and service activities, and to inspire other students to excel at music and leadership.Through more than 5,500 chartered chapters, Tri-M has helped thousands of young people provide years of service through music in schools throughout the world. Tri-M is a program of the National Association for Music Education.

The AHA Chapterof Tri-M is active in the community organizing concerts in the area at a home for retired sisters. They are currently planning to assist an elementary school with activities/materials to enhance their music program.
