AHA + STEM
“High school was a very challenging time and I often struggled more with my science classes, especially physics, than my English and history classes. All of my science teachers at AHA were very encouraging and that motivated me to keep working even though I could have pursued something that would have been easier for me.”
ADVICE FOR FUTURE ANGELS…
“AHA has a great math/ science program that you should take advantage of even if it's not your main interest. The skills you learn as you try things outside your comfort area will be really important in life, even if you're not sure when you'll ever use vector math again! If you are already interested in science, take advantage of all the different science courses in the curriculum. Science today is very much about integrating different fields (chemistry and biology, physics and geology, and any other combination you can think of) so it will really help you later on to take as many different courses as you can!”
