MEET ANGELINA

Angelina enjoys athletics, robotics, dance, music -- and more. At AHA, Angelina has demonstrated her leadership as a homeroom representative, and as class president in her sophomore and junior years. She is head of construction for the AngelBots robotics club and co-captain of the AHA Debate Team. This summer, she represented AHA at the Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Conference. Angelina plays the alto saxophone for the AHA Orchestra, and participated in a concert for a local senior community. Her contributions to the music program, her excellent average, and exemplary community service helped Angelina earn membership in the Tri-M Music Honor Society. She is also a member of the Mu Alpha Theta, the national math honor society. In addition to earning Principal’s List and Honor Roll recognition, Angelina received a bronze medal for her performance on the National Spanish Exam. This year, she is taking Advanced Placement courses in physics, statistics, and history. She is involved with the Powerback Club and Model UN. As a member of the AHA Varsity Volleyball Team, Angelina earned Big North Conference Second Team All-Division honors. She has played volleyball for DIGS, and is now captain of the Pinnacle Volleyball Academy’s team. Angelina studies tap dancing at a local studio, and regularly performs in public. Within her church, Angelina is an altar server and Vacation Bible School and homeless shelter volunteer. She recently participated in a sleep out for Covenant House. Angelina is also an Eleanor S. Lane Memorial Scholarship recipient.

“This school has not only become a second home, but it has become a place where I have learned so much both inside and out of the classrooms. AHA has made me to step outside of my comfort zone and have the confidence to do anything. Going into my junior year, I am excited but at the same time words cannot explain the emotion that I have when thinking about leaving behind this wonderful place. Not only leaving behind my friendships that will last a lifetime, but the memories and everything that AHA has brought to my life and come to mean to me. I would not change my experience at AHA for anything because it has been the best three years of my life and will bring me to be the best person I can be.”
