MEET HANNAH

Hannah is thriving in the challenging, yet supportive, atmosphere at Holy Angels. She is experiencing growth as a leader, and has seen her confidence soar. At the same time, she is mastering valuable time-management techniques that allow her to express herself through various activities and still be named to the Principal’s List and earn recognition for her work on the National Spanish Exam. Hanna is a writer and photo editor for the school newspaper, and recently earned a Scholastic Art and Writing Competition Silver Key. She works with Project Greenhouse, a school-based program that allows students to grow fresh produce on campus and donate it to local food pantries. As an Angel Ambassador, Hannah helps prospective Angels get a sense of student life at the Academy. Her work with Habitat for Humanity provides safe shelters for families and communities in need, and her fundraising efforts for Operation Smile bring free corrective surgeries to children with cleft lip and cleft palate. Hannah also advocates for the importance of educating girls everywhere through her participation in Girl Rising. Beyond AHA’s halls, Hannah is a varsity cheerleader at Saint Joseph’s Regional High School, a junior lector and volunteer at a local church, and a caretaker for young children at another house of worship. She also makes time to take lessons at a nearby tennis club.

“My AHA experience has been extremely beneficial to me as a young woman. I have developed into a very self-confident individual who is not afraid to speak in front of a crowd and is very focused in developing my leadership qualities. AHA is preparing me for my college years ahead by creating a schedule for me with classes that suit my academic level, but will also challenge me. The life of an AHA student can sometimes be a challenge, especially if one is involved in sports and clubs; however, the workload and time commitment are very manageable if one is able to stay on task and focus. Being a part of the AHA community is very important to me and I try to volunteer my time in as many clubs and activities as possible. They allow me to express myself through ideas in a positive way and also, in some cases, help people less fortunate than I am. I feel a very strong bond with everyone at my school and look forward to creating greater relationships and learning more every day.”
