The Application Process

Academy of the Holy Angels considers all applicants who present a strong desire and potential to succeed in our challenging, yet nurturing environment. Before applying, we encourage students and families interested in Holy Angels attend one of our many admissions events, both on and off campus, to get a sense of our school's mission and culture. This will help you decide if Academy of the Holy Angels is a good fit for you academically and socially. Some requirements such as our entrance exam and English language testing vary for different applicants. Please click the appropriate tab below for specific details. The Admissions Team is available throughout the application process to answer any questions you may have, and we look forward to getting to know you!

Things to Know Before Applying

  • The review process. The Admissions Committee personally reviews every applicant record including transcripts, SSAT (high school only) and/or other standardized test scores. While AHA looks for students who show strong academic potential, equally as important is each student’s level of interest in AHA. Consistent interaction with us through summer programs and admissions events such as Sneak Peeks, Open Houses, etc. is taken into consideration.
  • Checking your application status. All students will need to create an account to start an application. This login will allow you the ability to track your status online. We encourage you to check back often to ensure all required materials are submitted by posted due dates.
  • Missing materials. Applications are not complete and will not be considered until all required materials/steps have been completed in the Applicant Portal and are processed by our Admissions Office. Applications that become complete after the posted due dates will receive a delayed decision notification.
  • Supplemental materials. Supplemental materials are welcomed, and may be requested by the Admissions Office.
  • Academic Accommodations. Limited academic accommodations can be offered to eligible students who hold an active Bergen County Special Services (BCSS) Service Plan (SP), Paramus, NJ, or an AHA Student 504 Plan for Learning. An AHA application is required to apply for academic accommodations. Families are encouraged to contact Michael Statile at 201-768-7822, ext. 271 to discuss individual needs at the time of applying.
