Meet Juliana'21

This Angel, who has been singing and studying vocal technique since she was VERY young, has a breathtaking soprano voice that remains sweet and strong even when it enters the stratosphere. Juliana has sung with the prestigious Young People’s Chorus of New York City, and was nominated to the High School Honors Performance Series at Carnegie Hall. She has finished at the top of two vocal competitions, placing in the top 10 among 150 competitors at the NJ 101.5 Talent Show.

At AHA, Juliana performs with the Vocal Ensemble, Concert Choir, and Music Makers, and easily transitions from blending with the Soprano 1 section to stepping into the spotlight to deliver spellbinding solos. On weekends, she pursues classical voice training, ear training, and theory at the Manhattan School of Music. She also attended the Berklee College of Music Stage Performance Summer Program for vocalists, and has hosted shows and performed in New York City. She plays guitar and piano, and has studied several forms of dance, including tap, ballet, and flamenco. Her interests also include swimming and figure skating. Juliana is a member of the National Junior Honor Society and the National Spanish Honor Society. She pursues Advanced Placement Spanish, and has already earned bronze and silver medals for her performance on the national Spanish examination. Juliana also lends her talents to Art for the Community, an AHA-based club that designs art works and decorations for a local religious order. She is active with the Ujieres de San José de los Palisades Spanish Church service group, and has given her time to local Breakfast with Santa and Movie Night events.
