Pop On Over! Using household materials and recyclables, it is your job to create and build a Rube Goldberg Device that pops a balloon. In addition, you must create a blueprint drawing, with the steps labeled clearly and accurately with step number, and description of what will happen. Click here for details!
Grow It Green! Public parks are the heart of community life and culture. Design a vision board for a new public park space for the city of Manhattan. This space should include innovative features of your own design such as: water elements, bridges, footpaths, community garden space, public art, and natural elements. Click here for details!
Who Can Compete
Open to ALL girls in grades 6 – 8 currently attending Catholic, public or private school, or enrolled in a certified homeschooling program. Students may work in small groups (maximum 4 to a group), in pairs or individually. Students working in groups may be in different grades.
Dates and Deadlines
Friday, May 10 - Online Registration closes. Each team member MUST fill out her own online registration form with required information. Email notification will be sent confirming your registration.
Wednesday, May 22 - Project Presentation for Judges. Student(s) MUST be present in order to compete.
Competition Day Agenda
3:00 – 3:30 - Student arrival, sign-in and set-up
3:30 – 4:30 - Judges meet with students and view projects
4:45 – Winners Announced
