Transfer Application Process

Students currently in 9th or 10th grade who demonstrate exceptional academic may apply for the start of AHA’s September or January semesters. Transfer applicants are considered based on availability and an appropriate curriculum match. AHA does not accept transfers into the 11th or 12th grade. 

Application Deadlines – All steps must be completed by the following dates:

· September Start Date – June 1st  

· January Start Date – December 1st 

1. Complete the Online Transfer Application and non-refundable $75.00 fee.  In order to begin your online admission file, we encourage you to submit your application early.

2. School Visit (Angel for the Day). All prospective students are required to complete an Angel for the Day visit. This is an invaluable opportunity for young women to experience Holy Angels by participating in a variety of classes and meeting our students and faculty.

3. Transcripts and Standardized Test Scores. Submit current 9th grade (and 10th grade, if applicable) school transcripts, including any standardized test scores.

4. Teacher Recommendations. Three (3) current teacher recommendations (Math, English, and one of your choice).

5. Entrance Exam - Friday, April 27, 2018, 9:00 a.m. Take the SSAT Entrance Exam at AHA. Please note that as of September 1, 2017, all applicants are required to take the Upper School Secondary School Admissions Test (SSAT) to apply for admission. Academy of the Holy Angels only tests applicants applying to Holy Angels.

Online registration, general test information and study guides may be found at:  The fee is $132.00 payable by cash (exact change), cashiers/bank check made out to Academy of the Holy Angels, or credit card. Payment is due upon arrival to the exam.

Holy Angels will host the SSAT on the following dates:

· Saturday, November 4, 2017 from 9:00am – 12:00pm.

· Friday, November 17, 2017 3:00pm – 6:00pm.

· Saturday, December 2, 2017 9:00am - 12:00pm.

Students who miss these dates must visit: to find additional dates/locations to take the exam.  

6.  Interview with Director of Admissions and Principal may be required. You will be notified by phone should this requirement apply to you.
