The Holy Angels bowling team competes in the Big North Conference which is home to schools from Bergen and Passaic counties with matches scheduled during the week after school. Led by Hall of Famer and Coach of the Year winner, Patrick Dunne, the team travels on weekends to compete in very competitive tournaments throughout the state. AHA bowling has been very successful over the last several years in League, County and State competitions. Along with all of their successes, our bowlers strive to get better and better on the lanes while building friendships that will last a lifetime.  

Year in Review

The AHA Bowling Team had another successful season in 2017-2018. The team had a league record of 13-2 and finished in second place in the United Division. The Angels won the Bergen County tournament for the second year in a row and for the third time in five years. The Angels also won their Group 2 State Sectional title defeating a very strong Mahwah team. As a result of the Angel’s win at the State Sectional they qualified for the state finals for the 11th consecutive year. The Bergen County Women Coaches Association named AHA the Bowling Team of the Year for the second consecutive year. Sophomore Amelia Brunda shot the high game in the state sectional with a 265 game and qualified for the individual state finals. At the individual state finals Amelia fired a 257 which resulted in the silver medal. Amelia Brunda was named second team All County and Alexa Hernandez was named to the third team. Overall the Angels continued to be one of the strongest teams in Bergen County.
