Softball

The ultimate goal of Holy Angels softball is to provide each and every player with a positive experience, and in doing so, promoting the confidence, self-esteem and positive life skills that will serve every girl well throughout her life. The program, prides itself in teaching the game the right way and playing the game for the right reasons with an emphasis on striving to be the best that you can be in an environment that stresses discipline, teamwork and sportsmanship….both on and off the playing field. The opportunity to get on the field and contribute right away as a young freshman is a very real possibility as we strive each year to build our program from the bottom up.  With strong coaching, peer leadership and a commitment to improvement, softball at AHA is reaching for the fences.

Year in Review

To put into words a season like this is very difficult. I guess the word would be awesome. This team exceeded all our expectations. We were led by 3 seniors who decided they were going out winners and put the team on their shoulders for an unbelievable run. Everyone played a part in this historic season. To be number one in the county for a week….get a 5th seed in the Counties, a second seed in the state tournament and finish with a record of 17 wins and 8 losses is a tremendous turn around and a credit to this team. We ended up reaching the championship final game of the North Non Public A State Tournament. Although we bowed out to Mount St. Dominics, it was a terrific experience. Our centerfielder, Jen McGann was voted 2nd team All County. First Team All League honors went to Jen McGann, Laura Pesanello, Brianna Gangl, and Tori Robinson. 2nd Team honors: Kylee Amato, Maggie Flahive, Samnatha Hess, Isabelle Egan and Kristen D’Elia. Maddie Barone received Honorable Mention.
