We are seeking applications for the following positions for our Upper School (grades 9-12) for the 2023-2024 school year:
Director of Finance
The Academy of the Holy Angels in Demarest, New Jersey, is seeking a Director of Finance. This position reports directly to the school President. Primary responsibilities include maintaining and controlling all accounting and financial records pertaining to the school, students, faculty and other employees. The Director of Finance disburses all advancement revenues in accordance with procedures established by the President and the Board of Trustees in collaboration with the Advancement Office. The Director oversees the process of billing and collection of applicable fees, oversees all benefits and insurance programs pertaining to the school, presents audit materials for the yearly audit, oversees payroll and retirement plans and in collaboration with the school President determines financial aid and scholarship awards for student families. The Director also prepares the school’s annual operating budget, in conjunction with the President and the appropriate committee of the Board of Trustees. In addition, the Director of Finance is required to participate in all meetings of the Board of Trustees, the Board’s Finance and Investment Committees and collaborate with the board’s Facilities Committee.
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounting is required. This is a full-time position with benefits package. Salary commensurate with experience. Head Custodian
The Academy of the Holy Angels located in Demarest, Bergen County, NJ, is a college preparatory school serving young women in grades 6-12. We are seeking applicants for a Head Custodian to join our Maintenance team. The Head Custodian will be responsible for supervising the cleaning of all school buildings; scheduling of staff; ordering of supplies; and will perform some basic maintenance duties. A Black Seal license is required. The Head Custodian will report to the Academy’s Plant Manager.

Assistant Director of Technology (serving grades 6 - 12)
Applications are currently being accepted for an Asst. Technology Director to start July 1, 2023. The Assistant Director is responsible for providing technical support to students, faculty and staff by ensuring that all tech equipment, hardware/software are accessible to all users. Also provides support for Blackbaud software. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field is required along with experience working with network hardware, protocols and services. Should be familiar with Windows 10/11 OS and Microsoft Office. Experience with Blackbaud LMS and Google Admin Console preferred. Business Teacher (maternity leave) - 9/23-11/23

French Teacher–part time
Qualified applicants should have a desire and willingness to support the Mission of the Academy of the Holy Angels. Knowledge and application of best practices in instruction and classroom management is expected in addition to speaking fluent French. Candidates will need an ability to work collaboratively with colleagues. Applicants need appropriate certification and credentials and have teaching experience. English Teacher - Literature/Language Arts 7-12

School Campus Minister
We are currently seeking applications for a Campus Minister for grades 9-12 starting July 1, 2023. The Campus Minister’s primary responsibilities are to foster a community of faith that maintains the mission of the Academy of the Holy Angels and the charism of the School Sisters of Notre Dame while overseeing the school’s community service requirement. Other duties include participation in service/mission trips, planning and organization of student retreats, annual Service Day, coordinating drives with school clubs and organizations and serving as a collaborative member of AHA’s Mission Team. The Campus Minister reports to the Director of Mission and Ministry. A bachelor’s degree in a related field is required and experience at the secondary school level is preferred. School Social Worker
We are seeking applications for a Social Worker starting July 1, 2023. The Social Worker reports to the Dean of Students and is responsible for helping students and families make the best use of available opportunities and resources and to fully develop each student’s individual potential. Duties include, but are not limited to, educating the community on mental health issues and ways to reduce stress, moderating the Power Back club, bringing in guest speakers to educate the student body on various topics.
