Director of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

The Academy of the Holy Angels is seeking applications for a Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. The Director will report directly to the President and work collaboratively with the administrative team to support a respectful and inclusive environment. The role of the director is two-fold; to serve as a resource and liaison for students of color providing support services and to work with faculty, students and staff to educate our community and enhance our school’s cultural responsibility. The director will work with department chairs and faculty to promote and support curriculum development; develop student leadership in matters related to diversity, equity, and inclusion and assist the administrative team with recruiting and hiring faculty of color. The director will collaborate with the admissions/enrollment team to recruit, welcome, and retain students from diverse backgrounds. Payroll and Benefits Manager

Summary: Immediate opening for a P/T (20 hours per week) Payroll and Benefits Manager. This position is responsible for the management of employee data and ensuring accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payroll and 401K contributions. Manages all aspects of employees’ information, benefits, hires/terminations/retirements, maternity/disability leaves and claims. Position reports directly to the Director of Finance.

Responsibilities include:

  • Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees, using an outside payroll provider
  • Compile personnel files, manage new hires, terminations/retirements
  • Update payroll database; determine and manage to payroll schedule
  • Submit 401K contributions bi-weekly
  • Process yearend pension contributions
  • Liaison to health benefits brokers
  • Assist Director of Finance with annual insurance open enrollment period
  • Update census data, prepare and process ACA filing
  • Reconcile monthly benefit invoices to payroll data, and submit approval for payment
  • Supply information and direction to employees regarding maternity leave, disability, and related options/forms/process (NJ TDI, FLI, FMLA, etc.)
  • Complete and submit VOE’sDevelop, recommend and implement personnel policies and procedures

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in related field. Preferred 5-7 years’ experience in payroll processing, benefit management and HR management. Proficient in WORD, Excel and iSolve a plus. Strong knowledge/understanding of payroll and concepts and practices. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, comfortable interacting with all levels of staff and vendor representatives and support teams. Understanding of NJ employment leave benefits process. Salary commensurate with experience.

 

DIRECTOR OF FINANCE

The Director of Finance receives his/her appointment from the President and reports directly to her. He/she manages the financial affairs of the school under the direction of the President and in conjunction with the financial policies and procedures established by the Board of Trustees.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Maintain and control all accounting and financial records pertaining to the school, students, faculty and other employees.
2. Responsible for the preparation of the school’s annual operating budget, in conjunction with the President and the appropriate committee of the Board of Trustees.
3. Manage all school financial data on Blackbaud Financial Edge system, and associated spreadsheets.
4. Determine yearly Financial Aid and Scholarship awards to all students, and manage notification of awards to families.
5. Prepare and present materials for yearly external audit.
6. Manage cash flow and forecasting for day to day operations and long term Capital Campaign projects.
7. Track Pledges and Receivables in cooperation with the Advancement Department.
8. Oversee deposit of all funds to diverse bank accounts.
9. Reconcile all bank accounts and investment portfolios monthly.
10. Prepare and submit periodic financial reports, including interpretive analysis, as required by the President and Board of Trustees.
11. Responsible for the disbursement of all Advancement revenues, in accordance with procedures established by the appropriate committee of the Board of Trustees and the Advancement Office.
12. Provide direction and oversite for the preparation, rendering and collection of all tuition and fees.
13. Responsible for all communications with parents on financial matters.
14. Maintain personnel and salary records for the school (both faculty and staff), administer benefits program and personnel policy for employees, recommend salary changes for personnel under his/her supervision; from budgetary point of view, review faculty salaries with President.
15. Procure all benefits and insurance programs pertaining to the school. Oversee open enrollment of health benefits.
16. Manage and oversee all short-term and long-term funds pertaining to the Operating, Plant, Parent, Capital Campaign and Investment accounts.
17. Approve all financial correspondence pertaining to revenue collections.
18. Oversee process of billing and collection of applicable fees.
19. Supervise Student Billing Coordinator, Accounts Payable Manager and Payroll/Benefits Manager
20. Reconcile and manage funds associated with various Parent Account fundraisers and related donations.
21. Participate, as required, at Board of Trustees meetings, Finance Committee meetings and Facilities Committee meetings.
22. Perform other duties normally associated with the Director of Finance, as may be assigned by the President or the Board of Trustees, from time to time.
