AHA Parents' Guild

Since its founding in 1879, the School Sisters of Notre Dame continue to instill their charism, legacy and Catholic faith at the Academy of the Holy Angels. Keeping with their philosophy and teaching, the members of the Parents’ Guild are ambassadors of this faith community for our daughters and current families, as well as the outside community.

The Parents’ Guild is a vital link at the Academy of the Holy Angels with responsibilities beyond fundraising. Each and every parent and guardian is a member of the Parents’ Guild. We host and chair events throughout the school year that build upon that strong sense of community and family. Our volunteers give their time and talents tirelessly from September until graduation day.

As a member of the Parents’ Guild, you are welcome to help with such events as the Junior Ring Ceremony and Mother/Daughter Fashion Show, just to name a few. We work together to make these events as memorable as possible for our girls and their families. Then, when it is your daughter’s turn to receive her school ring, or as a senior, to model at the fashion show, you will receive the same warmth and hospitality that makes Holy Angels such a family centered environment.  

We have welcomed and hosted thousands at Open Houses and Accepted Students’ Receptions. Potential parents and guardians are always very grateful for our hospitality, whether it is a cup of coffee or some encouraging and positive advice about Holy Angels.

The planning of our major fundraising event, “Angelic Evening,” is a monumental task. Committees of volunteers and chairpeople work together throughout the school year to host this spectacular event. Such dedication culminates in the Spring with a joyful celebration of this vibrant and thriving community!
After graduation, this past June, some parents got together and formed the POA, Parents of Alumnae. This organization is for past parents of graduates who seek to maintain the friendships they have formed while their daughters were students. They attend events at AHA as a group and meet occasionally to “catch up.”
